Merry Christmas!! I hope this post finds you healthy happy and celebrating the Christ Child's birth!! For the first time in a long time we are all three of those things, healthy being the one in which we have struggled with. Since our dehydration on Wednesday, Jim has received another bag of fluids and is now being forced (by me) to drink more water than he can stand. Apparently the dehydration is not a sign of rejection but a sign that the kidney is actually working too well and that it is probably still in a bit of shock so we are just waiting for it to calm down. The doctors do not seem to concerned and told us that it is not typical but that it does happen so no need to worry. We have our next appointment downtown tomorrow and he will have more labs drawn and we are hoping that his creatinine is decreasing again.
We have so much to be thankful for that I can not even find the words!! First and foremost we are thankful for our Savior, who was born today, lived and was crucified so that we may have eternal life. Secondly the Lord has sent us another precious gift in the form of a double transplant, to give Jim a second chance. Thirdly, I am thankful for our family and friends who have been such a blessing to us.
Please enjoy a safe and healthy Christmas day! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers!
Prayer Requests: Jim's labs look better with his dehydration decreasing, and everyone enjoys a safe holiday season
Bible Verse: "For unto us is born a child."
